User guide
The Allinea DDT user guide is installed as part of the Allinea DDT product, press F1 when running Allinea DDT or select Help from the menu bar to display it. The user guide is also located in the doc subdirectory of the Allinea DDT installation path.
The user guide is also available to download by completing the short form opposite.
Known Issues
Further issues and workarounds can be found in the Allinea DDT release notes of the Allinea DDT installation (ddt/doc/RELEASE-NOTES). You should also consult the appendix of the user guide to note any platform, compiler or MPI issues that could affect your debugging.
- 2011-07-26 - For Infiniband CUDA systems with Open MPI, it may be necessary to exclude the Infiniband connection in order to debug CUDA - if your application appears to stall inside a CUDA Malloc call. This can be achieved by entering an mpirun argument of "-mca btl ^openib" after clicking the "Advanced" button on the DDT run dialog.

The current Allinea DDT version is 3.1-20638. More detailed information can be found in the release notes, which are part of the installation bundle.
- 2012-01-17 - Allinea DDT 3.1-20638 released. Patch release. Adds support for CUDA 4.1rc2 and for Cray XK6 GPU systems and for Cray OpenACC. Fixes number of errors including: incorrect min/max values for sparklines; startup problem for offline mode on some systems; occasional crash when debugging anonymous classes; fix to speed up start up for systems with IPv6 addresses.
- 2011-11-28 - Allinea DDT 3.1 released - Major release with new support for UPC, Coarray Fortran, offline debugging, and CUDA 4.0/4.1.
- 2011-04-27 Allinea DDT 3.0 released - Major release with support for full size debugging at Petascale and many enhancements to make debugging fast at all scales.
