In some cases, there could be a known issue for your system, compiler or MPI. Significant known issues with Allinea DDT are listed below.
User guide
The Allinea DDT user guide is installed as part of the Allinea DDT product, press F1 when running Allinea DDT or select Help from the menu bar to display it. The user guide is also located in the doc subdirectory of the Allinea DDT installation path.
The user guide is also available to download by completing the short form opposite.
Known Issues
Further issues and workarounds can be found in the Allinea DDT release notes of the Allinea DDT installation (doc/RELEASE-NOTES). You should also consult the appendix of the user guide to note any platform, compiler or MPI issues that could affect your debugging.
For Infiniband CUDA systems with Open MPI, it may be necessary to exclude the Infiniband connection in order to debug CUDA - if your application appears to stall inside a CUDA Malloc call. This can be achieved by entering an mpirun argument of "-mca btl ^openib" in the MPI section of the DDT run dialog.

- 2012-04-20: Allinea DDT 3.1-22847 released. Patch release. Fixes a crash seen when multiple messages are queued for display.
- 2012-04-02: Allinea DDT 3.1-22442 released. Patch release. Fixes Open MPI session start errors when using queue submission (not compatibility mode); job submission when using procs per node tags no longer sets max size to 0 if node procs count is larger than licence process size; error in reading variables in extremely large (> 130MB) stack frames resolved.
- 2012-02-15 - Allinea DDT 3.1-21691 released. Patch release. Fixes invisible font issue for platforms with broken fontconfig. Adds support for final CUDA 4.1 release. Fix to failing to re-add breakpoints in files compiled with relative paths on session restart.
- 2012-01-17 - Allinea DDT 3.1-20638 released. Patch release. Adds support for CUDA 4.1rc2 and for Cray XK6 GPU systems and for Cray OpenACC. Fixes number of errors including: incorrect min/max values for sparklines; startup problem for offline mode on some systems; occasional crash when debugging anonymous classes; fix to speed up start up for systems with IPv6 addresses.
- 2011-11-28 - Allinea DDT 3.1 released - Major release with new support for UPC, Coarray Fortran, offline debugging, and CUDA 4.0/4.1.
- 2011-04-27 Allinea DDT 3.0 released - Major release with support for full size debugging at Petascale and many enhancements to make debugging fast at all scales.
