Allinea Software (www.allinea.com) has been selected by the Mont Blanc Project as its preferred debugger for ARM processors using Allinea DDT 3.1.

The newly launched Mont Blanc Project aims to set future global High Performance Computing (HPC) standards, through its utilisation of ARM technology to develop energy efficient HPC systems.

European industry and research centres join forces to create a European Technology Platform for High Performance Computing

  
  
  

Barcelona, 10th November 2011- Major European suppliers of High Performance Computing (HPC) technologies, Allinea, ARM, Bull, Caps Entreprise, Eurotech, ParTec, STMicroelectronics and Xyratex associated with  HPC research centres BSC, CEA, CINECA, Fraunhofer, Forschungszentrum Juelich and LRZ have decided to combine forces to create a European Technology Platform (ETP), building on the previous work of PROSPECT and Teratec.

The objective of the ETP is to define Europe’s research priorities to develop European technology in all the segments of the HPC solution supply chain.

Germany’s Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ, http://www.lrz.de) has chosen Allinea Software (www.allinea.com) to support debugging for the targeted large-scale parallel applications on the IBM SuperMUC system next year.

LRZ, which is the computer centre for Munich's universities and for the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, provides high-end computing facilities for the scientific community in Germany and beyond.
