Allinea Software and HP to bring customers comprehensive and easy-to-use HPC development and optimization tools

Warwick, UK – November 8, 2004 – Allinea Software Ltd, a leading supplier of interoperable high performance computing software, and formerly the software arm of Streamline Computing Ltd, announced today the availability of its HPC development and optimization tools on HP’s standards-based cluster platforms. For customers, the availability of these tools will simplify the development and deployment of scalable parallel applications at a minimal cost.

“As cluster architectures offer increasing numbers of powerful processors in a very cost-effective manner, the development or re-engineering of large-scale parallel applications is becoming critical to the success of scientific R&D. By using our intuitive Distributed Debugging Tool and Optimization and Profiling Tool on HP hardware, application developers will discover how fast, efficient and reliable an HP cluster solution can be,” said Dr. Michael Rudgyard, President and CEO of Allinea Software.

“HP shares Allinea Software’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of cluster computing for high-performance applications,“ said Winston Prather, vice president and general manager, High-Performance Technical Computing at HP. “Allinea’s DDT and OPT software will offer HP ProLiant and Integrity server customers new capabilities for parallel application development. The interoperability between these tools, combined with a rich and intuitive graphical user interface, makes them a powerful combination for users.”
