TOP STORY

DDT Helps TACC Scale Code for Massive Parallel Processing

The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) will now include DDT in their standard developer’s toolkit for the Ranger system, one of the world’s fastest, and most powerful supercomputers. DDT’s innovative parallel stack view helps developers scale code to run in parallel across multiple processors, and control thousands of processes from a single window. Developers can find and debug problems fast, and cost-effectively scale up applications to run smoothly on Ranger.

“Debugging is a very critical need on these big systems,” says Karl Schulz, Associate Director of High Performance Computing at TACC. “There is value in a graphical debugger that gives you one master view. If we can save our users time debugging their problem, that’s a good return on investment.” (Read more)
