SC13: Allinea Performance Reports, a quokka, and the Intel Xeon Phi

Tue December 3, 2013 by Allinea Software

Thank you to everyone who visited us at SC13 - it was a fantastic show full of friendly faces, new technology, and some amazing uses of HPC.

Our CEO, David Lecomber, met a very important part of the iVEC Student Cluster Competition team - their mascot Happy Cheeks, the first quokka in HPC:

...and iVEC's Rebecca Hartman-Baker who told InsideHPC about how her team is using Allinea MAP in the competition.

We caught up with partners, customers and met some new people too! Here's Guillaume Colin de Verdière from CEA talking to InsideHPC about how they use the Allinea environment

We gave a never-ending stream of demos of our unified development tools for debugging and profiling products:

...and showcased their stunning features, such as Allinea MAP's Intel Xeon Phi support as shared by James Reinders in this short video.

To launch our latest product, Allinea Performance Reports, we ran an application performance contest - and almost every entrant was able to correclty identify the problem from the one page PDF Allinea Performance Report!  Here's one of the winners:

The response to Allinea Performance Reports was overwhelming from HPC system users - and owners. Everyone is eager to understand how the applications that they run are performing - so that they can get more results from their HPC resources. You can take a tour of Allinea Performance Reports with InsideHPC:

We look forward to doing it all again with you next year at SC14 in New Orleans
